ABOUT WITHLOVE CHARITY, INC
“Toys symbolize childhood to me. Fighting cancer makes you grow up fast. When you’re stuck in a hospital room for days or weeks at a time, you just pray to be a normal kid again. I want to remind these children that they are simply that, children. What better way to remind them than placing a new toy in their hand?”
WithLove is meant to not only bring awareness, but inspire and give children with cancer the opportunity to be kids.
Founded in January 2012 by Taylor “Tay” Scheibe, WithLove Charity began with one simple act of kindness: a Valentine’s Day toy drive for the pediatric oncology unit at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. What started as a way to give back quickly grew into a mission dedicated to bringing joy, comfort, and meaningful experiences to children fighting cancer and their families.
Tay’s connection to this mission is deeply personal. As a two-time childhood cancer survivor and bone marrow transplant recipient, she understands firsthand the emotional, mental, and physical challenges these children face. Her experience inspired the creation of programs designed to remind Golden Heroes they are seen, supported, and loved throughout their journey… to bring a sense of “normalcy.”
In 2016, WithLove expanded to Nashville, Tennessee, and grew from local toy collections into impactful programs serving patients through care packages, hospital celebrations, family experiences, and community support initiatives. Today, our signature programs include Heart of the Holidays, Sideline Smiles, Golden Hero Boxes, and Finish Line Fest (coming soon). You can read more about these programs by clicking here.
Through every delivery, event, and partnership, our mission remains the same: to bring moments of hope to children with cancer.
